Madelyn's Preschool Graduation

Eventhough Madelyn is going to Pre-K next year, she graduated from the Liberty Heights 4 year old class and had a little graduation ceremony. It was very cute.

NY 2009

We went to NY on a beautiful May weekend to celebrate my Aunt Peggy & Uncle Bobby's 40th wedding anniversary. It was so great to spend time with our extended NY family that we don't get to see too often. Maddy & I flew up with Mom & Angie, and it was fun having 1 on 1 time with Maddy. She loved meeting so many new cousins and wants to go back to New York !

Maddy did great on the airplane- she worked her charm and got extra cookies & peanuts as well as Sprite- which is a big deal to her...

Mia's 2nd Birthday

Mia had a Dora Birthday party on May 10th to celebrate her turning two.
Grandma & Mia
Mia started blowing out the candle as soon as we started singing.
Mia has become attached to the Dora sheet from her big girl bed... she calls it bubby.
On her actual birthday (5/18) I took off work and took the girls to Parky's Farm.
That night we had an ice cream cake with Aunt Anna, Uncle Shane, Ma & Pa.
Mia loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to YOU !

Mia likes her new swimming pool from her sister !

or maybe it was the paper that got her excited !Mia was out watering the plants the night of her birthday.

My Girls are growing up

This week it seems like the girls grew up a ton. Mia climbed out of her crib on Thursday so Friday we made the transition into her big girl bed with no problems at night whatsoever. Naps are still a small struggle, but we keep the door shut and she ends up giving in and taking a nap.

Both girls got their haircut on Saturday. It was Mia's first haircut and her little tail in the back is gone. Maddy got a little more of a style on her thin blonde hair and looks grown up.

Tonight Mia decided that she should drink out of a big girl cup instead of a sippy cup. It was a little messy, but she didn't do too bad. It's amazing how fast four and a half years has flown by, can we slow down the hands of time to enjoy these precious moments more?
