Ahh Summer is here 2009

After stuffing every minute full of activities last weekend, we decided to take this weekend to make no plans. Friday night we ate dinner and went out for ice cream at Colors Cafe. The girls got Spider Sundaes that looked cute but weren't really eaten.

On Saturday we went to Maddy's soccer practice, ran a few errands and then had lunch at Great Steak. Mommy (& Daddy) did some deep cleaning and thankfully the girls cooperated for us. Hopefully we can keep things in order... I felt bad that they were stuck inside a lot of the day, but the house needed it. They did play outside for about an hour before the storms came. There were tornados in the area and the sky was crazy- thankfully we were all safe.

Sunday we went to church and then met Grandpa Teufel, Carolyn, Aunt Lisa & Family & Aunt Angie for lunch at Red Robin. It turned out to take a little longer than we thought- but they have such great food & we were celebrating Grandpa's birthday- so we dealt with the crankiness for a little bit until the girls got naps. We spent the rest of the evening outside riding bikes, playing on the swing set, the girls had a picnic dinner and popsicles for dessert !

Go Dayton Flyers !!

Mia looked too cute in this outfit, I had to snatch a picture before we went outside to play.

Mia trying hard to figure out how to pedal her tricycle.
Check out Mia's new helmet !

Mia loves to swing- she was in there at least twenty minutes.
It is so nice that Maddy can swing all by herself !

Maddy pushing Mia on the swing.

Daddy went into work this afternoon and came home just in time to play catch with Maddy. T-Ball starts in 2 weeks !
Mia loves her new mower- she just has a hard time getting it to make bubbles !

Mia finally smiled, after she told me all afternoon- "no cheese" when I took the camera out. I did bribe her with popsicles- but it was worth it !!

We are looking forward to many fun days this summer !!

Soccer 2009

Madelyn played indoor soccer during the winter. It was more instructional and less scrimmage, which was a lot for an hour for 4year olds. Maddy didn't seem to enjoy it as much as outdoor soccer. This spring we went back to Coach Joe and she loves being out on the field. She really gets in there and mixes it up with the boys on the team ! Daddy is so proud- except at her love to play Goalie...

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Memorial Day weekend we were super busy. We had friends over for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. We snuck in an outlet mall trip on Saturday morning, relaxed on Sunday and spent Monday AM at Kings Island and than went to the Mt. Healthy Memorial Day Parade and finally ended our weekend festivities at Elizabeth's Birthday Party. Woah, makes me tired just thinking about all that we did last weekend...

The girls were so excited to meet Diego & Dora !

Mia and Maddy found a ride they could both enjoy !

Another fun ride on the Beastie !!

Mia's first time at Kings Island- she liked he helicopters much more than the scary Scooby Doo ride !

Madelyn's Preschool Graduation

Eventhough Madelyn is going to Pre-K next year, she graduated from the Liberty Heights 4 year old class and had a little graduation ceremony. It was very cute.

NY 2009

We went to NY on a beautiful May weekend to celebrate my Aunt Peggy & Uncle Bobby's 40th wedding anniversary. It was so great to spend time with our extended NY family that we don't get to see too often. Maddy & I flew up with Mom & Angie, and it was fun having 1 on 1 time with Maddy. She loved meeting so many new cousins and wants to go back to New York !

Maddy did great on the airplane- she worked her charm and got extra cookies & peanuts as well as Sprite- which is a big deal to her...
